Wednesdays: Bay Ridge Park concerts, Double Dutch, Grandbaby Comedy, Yoga at Owl’s Head Park, City Parks Tennis, Free swing dance lessons at the Grand Army Plaza Library Courtyard (Central Branch). Lessons 6:30 pm, Band at 7 pm on Wednesdays, Summer Screen. Thursdays: Live at the Archway, Summer Screen, Fridays: Coney Island Friday Night Fireworks, Bargemusic, Jazzy Jazz Festival 2018. Several days: Pop Up Pool, Environmental Ed Center Open, National Geographic Encounter: Ocean Odyssey, Governors Island, Ocean Wonders – Sharks!, Yoga Sole’s Free Yoga in Prospect Park, Free West African Dance Class.

Friday
Aretha Franklin Tribute in Coney Island,
7 pm, probably 2 ½ hours. Previously scheduled was Gladys Knight and the O Jays. She will do a 40 minute tribute to Aretha. If you don’t want to pay for a ticket, you can hear it on the boardwalk and see a little through the fence. Ford Ampitheatre, the Boardwalk and 21 St.
18th Ave, Santa Rosalia Festival still on. There is a singer, sometimes Italian songs, rides and ethnic foods, mainly Italian, some kebobs, Mexican and deserts.

Staten Island:
Friday Firing Demonstrations,
3 pm, following 2 pm tour. Join a living history interpreter to learn more about everyday life at Fort Wadsworth, and watch a 19 th century black powder firing demonstration. Fort Wadsworth Overlook, Staten Island.
Bike Tour, 10 am. Join a park ranger for a relaxing trip along Miller Field and the FDR Boardwalk as you take-in the history and natural beauty of the area. Please wear a helmet and bring some water. Miller Field, Staten Island.

Queens, Saturday:
Eating Healthy,
2-4 pm. Looking for new ways to cook your vegetables? Would you like to try a new vegetable but do not know how to prepare it? Join a cooking demonstration. Feel free to bring a vegetable and a recipe if you would like to share it. Campfire, 7:30 pm. Join park rangers for an evening of music and stories around a roaring fire. Bring a blanket or beach chair. Great Kills Beach Center, Staten Island, Queens.
Sunday: Sadhana Exhibit: Project Prithvi, 2-4 pm. Project Prithvi is Sadhana’s grassroots green initiative in which members practice ahimsa (non-violence) by taking care of the environment. An exhibit tells the story of their quest towards environmental justice and the transformation of religious offerings collected from monthly clean ups at Jamaica Bay. There will be a meet and greet from the creators and members of Sadhana; refreshments will be served, Jamaica Bay Wildlife Refuge, Jamaica Bay, Queens.
