Free workshops for BC students.
The Brooklyn College Library Room Office of Academic Information Technologies (AIT) presents a series of hands-on free technology workshops designed to improve your technical skills. These computer workshops are offered as a part of the AIT education initiative.

These workshops are open to all Brooklyn College students, staff and faculty. Registration is NOT necessary, and there is no cost.

*ATTENTION*: Late attendance is casually excused but do not expect to catch up when workshop is session.

** Please pay attention to the workshop Room number. The high demand for computer classroom space may require moving to a different Room from session to session. **

Microsoft Excel
An indispensable tool for most college students! Excel not only allows you to record, organize, and retrieve encapsulated data, but simplifies complex formulas and helps create detailed graphs, as well. The ideal tool for recording, viewing, and retrieving statistical, financial, and organizational data.

Photoshop: Photo Edit
This workshop will focus on the popular aspect of Photoshop: photo editing. There will be an overview of various tools and techniques that can be used for basic and general photo editing.
[This workshop is not recommended for those who have never used Photoshop. This workshop is open to beginners and casual users. This is not considered an advanced workshop]

Intro To Adobe Illustrator and Indesign
This is an introductory workshop for Adobe Illustrator and Indesign. There will be a basic approach for the use of both these programs. The content in this workshop will focus on the specialty of both programs that should get anyone started on particular design projects. (logos and book design) This workshop is for those who have never used Illustrator or Indesign or for those who would like a recap on simple basic features.
