Sunday, Sept. 24: Atlantic Antic Festival, 12-6 pm. Brooklyn’s largest street festival will stretching over ten blocks along Atlantic Avenue, with 12 entertainment stages, a display of antique buses, and hundreds of vendors.
Atlantic Avenue between Fourth Avenue and Hicks Street. Atlantic Antic Main Stage 2:15 pm, Atlantic Avenue and Clinton Street. Also there is the Dumpling Eating Contest, 12-6 pm. Amateur and professional eaters in male and female categories compete to devour the most dumplings in two minutes. Chef One Tent Atlantic Ave between Clinton St and Henry St, Eating Contest Time: 2-3:30 pm. My Sista Support, 3 pm, $15. A sister circle and website launch party focused on women supporting one another. With food, good music, and gift bags for the first 50 guests. Minka Brooklyn, 1120 Washington Ave., third floor, at Lefferts Avenue. You need a ticket. Gang Gang Dance, 8 pm, $15.The unconventional group was known for sprawling, psyched-out. Baby’s All Right. Gerritsen Creek Tour about the grist mill and farmhouse, 1-2:30 pm. Explore the area surrounding one of the first water-powered mills in North American and discover its value both past and present. Avenue U and East 33rd Street in Marine Park.
