All events are in Brooklyn unless noted and most are free. Many are bars so check if under age. If you can’t drink you might be able to eat there.

Thursday, June 29: John Hammond, 12 pm, part of the 2017 BAM R&B Festival, blues guitarist part of a free, outdoor concert series, MetroTech Commons, Flatbush Ave and Myrtle Ave. Live at the Archway, 6 pm, free performances and dance classes paired with interactive visual art components are fun for the whole family. Manhattan Bridge Archway Plaza, Water Street and Pearl Street. Trump and The Global Economy, 6:30 pm, $20–$30. A cross-section of experts discusses Trump’s policies on economics, immigration and foreign affairs. South Oxford Space, 138 S. Oxford St. between Hanson Place and Atlantic Avenue. –>

Lila Downs, Orkesta Mendoza, 7:30 pm. Prospect Park Band Shell, Prospect Park West and Ninth Street. Force Majeure Vaudeville, 9 pm, $15 ($10 in advance).  A night of circus performances, street dance, drag, magic, and burlesque. Cobra Club, 6 Wyckoff Ave. between Jefferson and Troutman Streets.

Friday, June 30: Garth Fagan Dance, 8 pm, innovative blend of modern dance, ballet and Afro-Caribbean dance. Prospect Park Band Shell, Prospect Park West and Ninth Street. Coney Island Fireworks, 8 pm. For the best view, locate yourself on the boardwalk or beach between West 10th Street and West 15th Street.  Shanti Star & the Afro-Reggae All-Stars, 7 pm on Pier 45 at Christopher St.
