We previously mentioned this but can now add to it. Brooklyn College Peace Officer Sargent Vincent Oliver recently passed away at age 53. He worked the day shift. The funeral was March 31st and many from the college went in the rain. He served for over 20 years. Over 100 people attended. Brooklyn College President Michelle Anderson and Union Local 237 President Gregory Floyd attended.
Peace Officer Jamison said “Sargent Vincent Oliver was not just my supervisor but my coworker. He was like a brother to me. Over the 12 years we became close and things I share with him that I never told anyone. This one really hurts, he was gone too soon but will not be forgotten.”  The pastor at the funeral said “He was a gentle giant. His smile spoke a thousand words.”
