Off-Campus: Black Voices, Black Art, 7 pm, $10. Art historian and curator Kellie Jones discusses her career, activism, and vision for the future of including black artists with trailblazing social media maven and blogger Kimberly Drew at the Brooklyn Historical Society, 128 Pierrepont St. at Clinton Street, Brooklyn Heights.
Wednesday, Feb 8: It’s In Our Blood [BHM], 5-7:30 pm, Penthouse. An information workshop on illnesses that commonly affect African Americans, primarily illnesses that affect/involve our blood, such as Diabetes, High Cholesterol, and Sickle Cell.
Off-Campus: Party to Protect Your Parts, 6:30 pm, $15 . A fundraiser for Planned Parenthood NYC Votes, with performances from the bands Netherlands, the Giraffes, and Ice Balloons, along with burlesque performances, raffles, and special host the Vagilante. With $2 drinks until 7:15 pm. Saint Vitus Bar, 1120 Manhattan Ave. between Box and Clay Streets, Williamsburg.
