Sunday citywide events

All events are in Brooklyn unless noted and most are free. Sunday: Sept. 25: All’s fair Atlantic Antic: mile-long games, performers, face-painting, bounce houses, 15 live music stages, 12-8 pm at Atlantic Avenue (between Fourth Avenue and Hicks Street in Boerum Hill and Cobble Hill. The Bronx Native American Festival, 12-4 pm, performances, exhibits, arts and crafts, storytelling, interact with many of the performances and activities, while learning about the traditions and lifestyles of native groups such as the Taino, Ojibwe/Onieda, Matinecock/Wamapnoag, South Picnic Area in Pelham Bay Park, Bronx. Enter the park from either the Bruckner Boulevard or Middletown Road entrances and proceed to the south picnic area adjacent to the dog run, behind the tennis courts. Meet the Artists: ‘Evolving Terrain’ Exhibition Walk and Talk, 3-4:30 pm, Ecology Sail, 12-3 pm, $45 ($40 children), aboard the schooner Pioneer and set sail past Governors Island for the fishing grounds of Bay Ridge. You’ll set a trawl net for blue crabs, flounder, sea horse or puffer fish. Help raise the sails sailing past the Statue of Liberty and learn about the sea creatures, examine plankton through a view-scope, test the water to learn how animals live here, Schooner, Pioneer, Pier 16, South Street Seaport Museum, 12 Fulton Street, Manhattan.  Reservations required Magic at Coney, 12 pm, 1208 Surf Ave,–The-Sunday-Matinee_9_25_2016-4932.htm.
