Tuesday, July 26: Brooklyn Cyclones vs. Staten Island Yankees, 7 pm, starting at $10, MCU Park, 1904 Surf Ave. at W. 17th St. Frankie Marra Band (oldies), 7 pm, 79th Street at Shore Road.

Wednesday, July 27: Music in the Grove, 10 am to 11:30 am, free music with Vered and the Babes, southwest of the Monument Plaza, Fort Greene Park Visitor Center, enter park at Myrtle Avenue and Washington Park. African Dance, Wednesdays, 6:30 pm to 7:30 pm until Aug. 24. No partner or prior experience required. Target Brooklyn Community Garden, 933 Bedford Ave. at Dekalb Avenue.  Bridge Grooves-Larry Harlow, 7-10 pm as the Afro-Cuban jazz performer plays at Brooklyn Bridge Park’s Harbor View Lawn, with DJ Ray Suave, Old Fulton Street at Furman Street.  Sha Doobie, 7 pm, (oldies) concert, Marine Park, Avenue U at Stuart Street.

 Thursday, July 28: Thursday Nights free at the Brooklyn Museum, 6-10 pm. Sir Richard Bishop, Bill Orcutt, Donald Miller, Kristin Thora Haraldsdottir, Alan Licht. An evening of performances by guitarists working loosely within the American Primitive idiom,7 pm, $15, Pioneer Works, 159 Pioneer St. between Imlay and Conover Streets.  Brooklyn Screams for Ice Cream, 7 pm, $12, join some of the borough’s top ice cream makers for a look at the history, mechanics, and future of ice cream cones, sundaes, and sandwiches in Brooklyn. Moderated by historic gastronomist Sarah Lohman, Brooklyn Historical Society, 128 Pierrepont St. at Clinton Street. Concert in the Garden, 7 pm, refreshments, St. Francis Xavier Parish, 225 Sixth Ave. between Carroll and President Streets. Gregory Porter, Marcus Strickland & Twi-Life, (jazz), 7:30 pm, Prospect Park Band Shell, Prospect Park West and Ninth Street.

Friday, July 29: Animation Block-Local Films. A screening of short cartoons from Brooklyn animators, including Morgan Miller’s “Too Many Crows” and “Slow Wave” by Andy Kennedy, 4:30 pm, $14, BAM Rose Cinemas, 30 Lafayette Ave. between Lafayatte Avenue and Hanson Place. Angelique Kidjo’s Celia Cruz Tribute. The Beninoise singer channels the Queen of Salsa with Cuban percussionist Pedrito Martinez, 7:30 pm, Prospect Park Band Shell • Prospect Park West and Ninth Street. Boardwalk Brews is a beer tasting and specialty food event sprinkled with visits from aquatic friends such as sea lions, otters, tropical fish, $54.99, New York Aquarium, 602 Surf Ave. between W.
