coping with the heat tips

The Public Advocate Letitia James  says: As the temperature is rising this week and next, it is important that you have all the information you need to be safe and beat the heat.

Make sure you stay well hydrated, check in on your elderly neighbors, and if you see a child or pet locked in a car, please call 911 immediately. 

Throughout New York City there are cooling centers that you can also take advantage of if temperatures in your home are too high. These centers are located in public libraries and spaces in all five boroughs.
I have heard to eat small meals, wear loose light colored clothing.
Gatorade and salt in the past were thought to help but  the present views have changed.
