Muhammad Ali highlights and knockouts (more will be posted in the next few days.

He risked 5 years in jail avoiding the draft because he was a conscientious believer against the war. He won his case in the Supreme Court. He was the only heavy weight boxing champion to win the title 3 times. He was an entertainer with his braggadocia and poems for many of his fights. He would be on the street entertaining kids on the way to a place.  He was a natural like Babe Ruth. Ali may have been the most well known athlete of all time.

Taste of Times Square, Monday, June 6, 5-9 pm, food festival with more than 50 area restaurants participating, including many inhabitants of the area’s famed Restaurant Row. Some of the more well-known are Junior’s (cheese cake), John’s Pizzeria, Joe Allen, Ruth’s Chris Steakhouse, Virgil’s Real Barbecue, Havana Central and Patzeria Perfect Pizza. The event will stretch down 46th Street from Broadway all the way to 10th Avenue, Manhattan. Each ticket is $1 with dishes ranging from 2 to 6 tickets. Cuisines: Barbecue, Cajun, Cuban, French, Italian, Irish, Korean, Latin, Mediterranean, Mexican, Pan-Asian, Japanese, Seafood, Spanish and Victorian. Also in Manhattan take a ride on the SeaGlass Carousel at The Battery in Manhattan and check out this sea-themed ride, open seven days a week from 10 am to 10 pm.
