Club 157, 157 Manhattan Ave. between Meserole and Scholes Streets. Cat and Pug Show Opening Reception with drawings, 7–9 pm, Grumpy Bert, 82 Bond St. between Atlantic Avenue and State Street. All that Jazz On Stage at Kingsborough with the Israeli 12th Night Jazz. Wine and cheese included, 7 pm, $40, 2001 Oriental Blvd. at Oxford Street. Bayou ’n’ Brooklyn Music Festival, Friday, Saturday and Sunday at noon, $25–$60. Louisiana musicians with music, dance, workshops, community jam sessions, and food, Jalopy Theatre, 315 Columbia St. between Hamilton Avenue and Woodhull Street. The Imaginative Space of the African Horizon is a multimedia performance about two young Africans now living in New York City, who reveal their past regrets and current pains, Harry Warren Theatre, 2445 Bath Ave. at Bay 38th Street, Saturday, 7:30 pm, Sundays, 3 pm, $20 ($15 students and seniors).
Saturday at BC: Master’s Recital: Breana Murray-Burton, 4-5:15 pm, Studio 312, Roosevelt Extension. Free admission to the Jewish Museum as part of Chancellor J.B. Miliken’s Cultural Initiative to give our students access to cultural institutions across the city, the Jewish Museum is offering free admission to all students, faculty and staff, with CUNY IDs.
