All weekend events are in Bklyn unless noted and most free and NY means Manhattan.
Saturday: Lunar New Year at the Queens Zoo, 11 am–5 pm, with special Lunar New Year zodiac scavenger hunts, calligraphy, theatrical performances and crafts. Park Slope UMC Book Sale with more than 10,000 books for only a buck or two each. Donations welcome, Park Slope United Methodist Church, 410 Sixth Avenue at Eighth Street, Saturday, Feb. 20, 9 am–5:30 pm, Sunday, 12:30–5:30 pm. Colonial Day at the Fort Putnam Redoubt, 10 am–3 pm, Fort Greene Park Visitor Center, enter park at Myrtle Avenue and Washington Park.
Pet Adoption Event at Petco Sheepshead Bay, cats and dogs includes vaccinations, spay/neuter, a pre-registered microchip, an identification tag, and a collar, Noon–4 pm, 1610 Avenue Y at E. 16th Street, (adoption fees vary). This Might Hurt Fund-raiser, raise money for the documentary “This Might Hurt,” about people living with chronic pain. The night will feature live music, food, drinks, a silent auction, and a screening of the film’s trailer, 4 pm, $30, Pongo Power, 350 Flatbush Ave. between Sterling and St. Johns Places.
Night At The Races, you can bet on horses that move with the roll of the dice, while you enjoy hot dogs, beer, wine, soda, and free coffee and cake, 7 pm, probably fees for each bet, Sacred Hearts and St. Stephen Church, 125 Summit St. at Hicks Street. Gotham Girls Roller Derby Taunt Ball, 8:30 pm, $20 ($15 in advance). Incoming skaters are introduced to derby society, Littlefield, 622 Degraw St. between Fourth and Fifth Avenues. NYRR Millrose Games since 1908 at the Armory with this year’s lineup includes Lolo Jones and Evan Jager. Goalball at Chelsea Recreation Center, NY, 1:45–4 pm, is a Paralympic sport for athletes with visual impairments. It is played by two teams of three who are blindfolded using a ball with bells inside. George Washington’s Birthday: Family Activity Day, 11 am2 pm.  His headquarters during the Revolutionary War. They will be making a special George-inspired craft. At 1 pm they we will have a special tour about Washington’s time in the mansion. Sunday:  Coney Island near BC images of the People’s Playground from seven photographers and two painters. Noon–6 pm, daily till Friday, March 11, free, Valentine Museum of Art, 1655 Flatbush Ave. between Avenue I and E. 23rd Street.

Ongoing: Munch and Expressionism, we all scream for this exhibition, till June 13, Norwegian artist Edvard Munch is best known for The Scream, at one time the world’s most expensive piece of art, Neue Galerie New York, 1048 Fifth Ave. (5 Av/86 St)
Manhattan.  The Seventh Avant Music Festival, free installations, major collaborations and three weeks of music.
