Wednesday: The Asian Communities in Bensonhurst, Peter Kwong, Professor of Sociology at CUNY Graduate Center and more, 6:30 pm,  $5 (free for members), Brooklyn Historical Society, 128 Pierrepont St. at Clinton Street.

Thursday: Thursday Nights at the Brooklyn Museum free,  6– 10 pm.

Flic Fest, each night of this dance festival features two full-length dance performances from different companies, followed by a short performance cabaret, Thursdays–Saturdays, 7 pm until Saturday, Jan. 30, $25 ($20 students), Irondale Center,  85 S. Oxford St. at Lafayette Avenue.

Friday: Spoke the Hub’s 15th Annual Winter Follies with more than 30 performing artists present five minutes of whatever they do best at this showcase. The audience vote for which artist or group should get a full production at a Gowanus space, 7:30pm, daily, Friday, Jan. 29 – Saturday, Jan. 30, $20 ($15 in advance), Old First Reformed Church, 729 Carroll St. at Seventh Avenue.
