Saturday: Coney Island Beard and Moustache Competition, 8 pm, $20 at Sideshows by the Seashore, 1208 Surf Ave. between W. 12th Street and Stillwell Avenue,  Panorama Steelband as several local steel band groups competing for the 2015 championship, 7 pm. at Brooklyn Museum, Junior Carnival Parade with thousands of children. Route begins at the corner of Kingston Avenue & St. John’s Place continues to Franklin Avenue & President Street ending at the Brooklyn Museum grounds, 9 am–4 pm, $2. The tour route involves moderate inclines and a few stairs. Tour starts and ends at Belvedere Castle (mid-Park at 79th Street) $15 per person.  Bronx Harvest Festival 2015 – Rainbow Garden of Life and Health, 1–4 pm, food, music, activities for kids, and the Harvest Contest, featuring prizes for best vegetables and fruits, floral arrangements, garden photos and pies at Garden of Life and Health, 757 Melrose Avenue, Bronx. Saturday and Sunday: Block Party: NYC Soul of Summer with a photo collection celebrating New Yorkers across races and classes, sharing regional pride from different neighborhoods through the lens of the NYC block party, Wednesdays – Sundays, 11 am–6 pm until, Sept. 26, at United Photo Industry, 16 Main St. at Water Street, PopUp Audubon as radical raptors explored; learn about birds of prey, Saturdays and Sundays, 10 am – 3 pm till Sept. 27 at Prospect Park Audubon Center, enter park at Lincoln Road and Ocean Avenue, Transforming Food as you churn butter, grind corn and peel apples.
