Beatlefest at the Hyatt Hotel this weekend $65 and $89
Saturday: Lunar New Year Celebration, 1:00 p.m.–4:00 p.m. After watching the Flushing Lunar New Year Parade, come to the Queens Botanical Garden for additional festivities, including craft activities and a musical performance by the New York Chinese Chorus at 43-50 Main Street, Queens. Embrace Winter Festival:Enjoy music, dance, art, games, and crafts inside and outside stores along Third Avenue from 69th to 75th Streets, Bay Ridge, Bklyn. Nature Photography: Winter Landscapes, 1:00 p.m. Our Urban Park Ranger Nature Art and Photography programs allow you to interpret the natural world through artistic expression, while learning about the local environment. All photography programs are for digital cameras and you must provide your own camera. DSLR camera preferred, but all cameras are welcome. Salt Marsh Nature Center in Marine Park, East 33rd Street and Avenue U, Bklyn.
Sunday: Arts, Culture & Fun: Screening of Doin’ It in the Park: Pick-Up Basketball, 2:00 p.m.–3:30 p.m. Come see the movie Complex Magazine calls, “One of the greatest sports documentaries of all-time.” Doin’ It In The Park: Pick-Up Basketball, NYC is directed by Bobbito Garcia and Kevin Couliau. It explores the history, culture, and social impact of New York’s summer b-ball scene, widely recognized as the worldwide mecca of the sport. Meet the film’s director.
